Headcrash on IBM DTLA DeskstarThree pictures of a headcrash on an IBM DTLA hard disk drive. Not immediately obvious, the headcrash is on the platter underneath the top (visible) one. Note how the film coating has been completely stripped - revealing the glass underneath.
Please note that all modern hard disk drives are manufactured to very high standards, fail infrequently and have very similar rates of reliability. (c) Copyright Data Clinic
