Error Message: WDC ROM MODEL & 'XYZ' SN numbers

Information
This error message will typically be seen in the BIOS screen when the
computer is initially powered up. The actual error message is generated
by the PCB controller board and relates the the family name of the hard
disk. This error message will be displayed in the following circumstances:
- The ROM of the hard disk has become corrupted
- One or more of the firmware modules that control the drive have
become corrupted
- The drive has developed a problem with one or more of its read /
write heads (in this instance, the drive may also be making a ticking
/ knocking noise)
